About Camp EKKO
Everything you need to know about Camp EKKO and how rallies work.
What is Camp EKKO?
Camp EKKO is a collection of RV rallies organized by Winnebago Ekko owners for the benefit of the broader Ekko community. There's no governing body, no official organization. We're just fellow owners who love our rigs and want to bring people together.
Camp EKKO is not affiliated with Winnebago Industries, though representatives from Winnebago often attend Camp EKKO events. These rallies are planned and run entirely by volunteers from within the community.
What to Expect at a Rally
Every Camp EKKO event is different and that's the point. Events range from a single afternoon at a concert with a handful of rigs, to multi-day gatherings with 100+ Ekkos, planned activities, vendor days, and organized group excursions.
Some common elements you might find at larger events:
- Mod tours and technical sessions — see how other owners have set up and customized their rigs
- Vendor and sponsor showcases — hands-on access to products and services built for Ekko owners
- Group activities — hikes, bike rides, off-road excursions, and more depending on the location
- Social gatherings — campfire nights, group meals, and the kind of conversations that only happen when you're parked next to someone who gets it
Smaller events might just be a group of owners showing up to the same place at the same time — no agenda, just good company. Every size is welcome.
How Events Are Funded
Camp EKKO events are kept as accessible as possible and funding varies by event. Some rallies collect attendee entry fees to fund group activities, while some rallies have you pay the venue directly for camping fees. Many events also benefit from the generous support of sponsors and venue partners who share a passion for the Ekko community.
Any fees and funding details are listed on each individual event page.
Host Your Own Event
Have an idea for a Camp EKKO gathering? Events of all sizes are welcome — you don't need a large budget or months of planning to bring Ekko owners together.
A good first step is Greg Bond's guide, written by a fellow Ekko owner: 10 Important Steps for Organizing an RV Rally. Many owners also promote their gatherings through the Winnebago EKKO Owners & Wannabes (Official) Facebook group, which is a great way to reach the broader community.
